Poem from Mom: Cold

so cold
first fingertips
then nose and toes
arms aching
legs shivering
cold clear through
feeling winter
wishing summer
shorts t-shirts
porch chairs
raccoon shade
wishes can’t
make you warm
unless they ride
the suns rays
to winters
cold days

    Great poem.

You should make a book of your Mom’s work. If you hadn’t already.

  2. Giacomo says:

Mom’s poems illustrated by son’s photographs.

very cool. why did you choose to put the image horizontal instead of vertical? it does make for a more interesting/unusual composition though.
